My Top 10 Summer Beauty Must-Haves

Looking to update your beauty regime this season? Here are some of my favs for Summer 2016.

1. IT Cosmetics Hello Light Illuminator with brush £29

I love how natural this looks, it is subtle enough to wear as highlighter during the day, with no glitter or sparkle. If you are new to highlighting and want a dewy understated look, then this light illuminator from IT Cosmetics is the perfect product to start with; the included brush makes highlighting a breeze - even for first-timers! This kit is available to buy from QVC at just £29 and this must-have style-secret for all skin tones tops my list for 2016.

2. MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in DoubleTime £15.50

I have to confess I only started using a lipliner about 2 years ago. Lipliner really transforms the look of your lipstick. At number 2 in my list of the 10 make-up must-haves for 2016 is MAC's Pro Longwear Lip Pencil to enhance the shape of your lips, minimise those fine-line lipstick bleeds and give a much more professional finish. Give liplining a go! This is my personal favourite (trust me, I've tried a few!) and the colour will suit most skin tones.

3. Laura Geller Balance n Brighten Baked Foundation £28

I recommend this to many of my clients who want minimal make up, a quick routine and a natural, healthy looking glow. This award winning baked foundation self corrects and is so quick and easy to apply, you can almost apply it without a mirror! Do get in touch with me if you are not sure which shade to go for.

4. Living Proof Amp2 Instant Texture Volumiser £22

I love this stuff! It is one hair product I would not be without. I use it mainly when I curl my hair to give it extra definition, texture and staying power. However also effective to smooth ends with straight styles too. A little goes a long way!

5. Kevyn Aucoin Celestial Skin Liquid Lightening £42

I am on my third tube of this and each time I research similar products, but this has won every time for me. This illuminating liquid can be used alone as a moisturiser to give that glow from within look, or use it to highlight areas such as cheekbones and brow arches. It can also be mixed in with your foundation to add a subtle all over glow to the skin.

6. Philip Kingsley Elderflower and Rhubarb Elastisizer £17.50

Another award winner, this hero product from hair care guru Philip Kingsley conditions the hair cuticle, before you shampoo, with amazing results. You do have to be disciplined to remember to apply this product to damp hair for 20 mins before you shampoo. However, it is so worth it, as it instantly improves the condition of your hair. Originally invented for Audrey Hepburn. If it's was good enough for Audrey...

7. This Works Perfect Legs Skin Miracle £37

When my friend put me on to this, I thought it seemed quite expensive compared to others I had tried. But I'm glad she did as in my opinion, it is worth the money. It smells of lavender, dries quickly and doesn't come off on your clothes. Great if you have a slight base tan already, as it enhances the colour and condition of your pins, a perfect quick fix for a night out.

8. Eve Lom Kiss Mix £16

A luxurious lip balm that contains Zinc for healing and menthol which leaves a tingly feeling. Leaves a gorgeous sheen on the lips. A real treat.

9. Arbonne Liquid Sunshine Self Tanner £33

This self tanner develops in 2 hours and I have found it lasts about 3/4 days. (Without a second application). When it fades it doesn't go blotchy or patchy. It is a vegan based product with a swiss heritage, so contains no nasties. I use it on my face too.

10. Margaret Dabbs Intensive Treatment Foot Oil £22

I have used this for years and it still remains my favourite foot treatment product. It contains Emu oil (of course it does), which gives instant results. Comes in a lotion too if you prefer, have it ready for those occasional moments the sandals get an airing.
